Also on offer this Christmas is a bumper smoked cheese gift box, featuring six varieties from the Smokery. Pick up your pack online or via local shops.
Orkney Fishermen’s Society

Orkney Fishermen’s Society has a range of festive platters on offer, featuring fresh Orcadian lobster, crab, prawns, smoked salmon and much more! There are a wide variety of platters on offer, coming in all shapes and sizes - view the range via this special online leaflet.
The Orkney Roastery
Everyone loves a Christmas coffee, and the Orkney Roastery has some very special blends for you to try over the coming weeks. Christmas Carol is a Costa Rican coffee with dark chocolate, caramel and clementine qualities. It’s available in whole bean, cafetiere, filter or espresso grinds. Also on offer this season is Winter Wonderland, a special roast only available at William Shearers in Kirkwall. You can order online or buy from selected stockists in Orkney.
Orkney fudge is famous around the world, and what better way to end your Christmas dinner than with something sweet? Argo's Bakery has Orkney Fudge gift bags available, and there are four special flavours on offer this year. Tuck into Mulled Wine, White Chocolate and Cranberry, Mint Chocolate and Chocolate Orange flavoured fudge over the holidays – and it comes with a lovely festive ribbon too! Pick up bags in shops across Orkney.
Stockan’s Oatcakes are the perfect addition to the Christmas cheese selection, and the mini oatcakes are ideal for those fancy finger food ideas. Try them with the Island Smokery’s Christmas Spice cheese, or how about an oatcake topped with Orkney Isles Preserves Chilli Jam? The award-winning Orkney Beremeal oatcakes are great with Orkney Crab Pate and fresh crab from Westray too!
It has been a busy year for the Deerness Distillery and the team is marking its first Christmas in style with the launch of a brand new liqueur. Midnight Moon Coffee Liqueur is a smooth blend of coffee and the Distillery’s own rum, with a hint of vanilla and undertones of chocolate and caramel. It’s perfect to enjoy over ice or in a cocktail. Bottles can be bought across Orkney in the run-up to Christmas and will be available further afield in the New Year.
Whatever is making it onto your menu this year, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from us all at Orkney Food and Drink!
