Liz Ashworth has been involved with food all her life, learning first from her mother and afterwards from Catherine Brown and at Robert Gordon’s Institute of Technology in Aberdeen. She was Catering Manager for Baxter’s Food Group at Fochabers and later became Food Services Manager for Balfour Beatty in Edinburgh.
The author of a pioneering series of Scottish cookery books, Teach the Bairns written for ‘would be cooks of all ages’. Inspired by the work of F Marian McNeill and her teacher Catherine Brown she is passionate about Scotland’s precious food heritage. A member of the Guild of Food Writers. Liz writes regularly for several Scottish publications.
She enjoys working as an NPD consultant to help create quality wholesome food products.
