Thousands of visitors got a little taste of Orkney at the annual BBC Good Food Show Scotland this weekend (4th - 6th November).
The Orcadian representatives shared the huge hall with over 100 exhibitors from around Scotland and a host of celebrities, including chefs Tom Kitchin and Michael Roux Jr., Great British Bake Off judge, Paul Hollywood, and MasterChef judge, John Torode.
Visitors to the Orkney stands received samples and got the chance to speak to the people behind the products. It was also the first event of its kind for Orkney Distilling and its new Kirkjuvagr Gin.
Orkney Food and Drink Development Manager, Edgar Balfour, said 'It's always a busy weekend but it's well worth it. It keeps Orkney at the forefront of the sector in Scotland and helps boost the profile of the individual companies taking part. We also love telling people about the islands and everything there is to do here, and the feedback is always very positive'.
