Backaskaill is a 150 year old farmhouse, full of character, only two minutes walk from the stunning sandy bay of Backaskaill, perfect for walking and watching wild-life.
As the B&B only caters for a maximum of 5 guests at any one time - in two double rooms and one single room - you can be assured of a personal service.
The farmhouse is set in it’s own grounds, still part of a working farm so you may see the odd cow or sheep, depending on the time of year! The B&B has 2 rooms, one with a king size bed and en-suite, and one with twin beds and it’s own private bathroom with shower. Both rooms have personal toiletries, hairdryer, dressing gowns, slippers, radiators and we even provide a hot-water bottle service for those cooler nights!
The intimate restaurant's food is cooked fresh daily by fully qualified chef, Geoff, and is open to non-residents. Fresh lobster and crab can be sourced with advance notice and the restaurant is renowned for it's steaks using local beef. Vegetarians are well catered for also, along with any other dietary requests, and there are always choices of mouthwatering home-made desserts.
