The brewery’s 'Pale Ale' has taken home the gold medal in the Premium Bitters class at the SIBA awards in Sheffield.

It was selected ahead of other bitters and pales ales from breweries in London and Wales at the organisation's BeerX event. Companies from all over the UK were taking part in the competition, with Scottish breweries performing well overall.

The beer is described as an Orcadian-US pale ale and forms part of Swannay’s core brands. It uses a pale and crystal malt base to showcase Citra and Simcoe hops from the USA.
